With a tog rating of 1.01 and manufactured in widths of 4 metres and 5 metres, this carpet is suitable for most installations including those fitted over underfloor heating.

Wool has an extra protective membrane of microscopic scales which repels water and locks out liquids longer, providing ample time to mop up spillages. Prompt attention to household spillages with clean white paper towels or cloth will address many such problems.

Drop a lighted match onto a wool carpet and it will smoulder and self extinguish within seconds as there is insufficient oxygen to support a fire. Wool is a much favoured firesafe fibre in hotels and other commercial locations for this very reason.
